Kenny Bjergstad has been appointed as the new Managing Director of PortsDirect.

Kenny has been with PortsDirect for 14 years, most recently as General Manager.

Hans-Christian Mordhorst, Group Chief Commercial Officer, said:

Kenny added: “PortsDirect has been at the centre of my working life for 14 years, so I am delighted to now head up the company. Since I joined, PortsDirect has grown continuously, expanding the number and scope of agreements we provide thereby increasing the total savings we deliver to ship operators.

“We now have agreements in place with more than 75 suppliers covering over 400 ports in 31 countries. One of my jobs is to ensure that all this goes without a hitch and to ensure my team drive the best deals for both our suppliers and our customers.”

PortsDirect delivers structured procurement of discounted rate agreements with quality port services providers, for example in towage and pilotage. We handle the administration of those agreements for the benefit of shipping companies and suppliers offering high quality services at competitive pricing.
