Kenneth Hviid Laursen

Kenneth has run the demurrage desk from the operator's side for most of his career. Over nearly two decades in tanker operations, he managed laytime, demurrage, and claims teams at Team Tankers, Ace Tankers, and Stolt Tankers, calculating, negotiating, and collecting claims under the same commercial pressure Marcura Claims customers face every day.

At Stolt Tankers he consolidated four separate demurrage teams across Manila, Rotterdam, and Houston into a single function, built the controls around it, and worked alongside contract management to surface laytime and demurrage exposure before it turned into a dispute.

He joined Marcura in 2023 to lead operations for Marcura Claims, bringing the practitioner's view directly into how the product is built.
