Uniting two complementary product portfolios
The strategic acquisition combines ShipServ's established e-procurement platform, which serves thousands of maritime buyers and suppliers worldwide, with VesselMan's innovative vessel management and dry-docking solutions, creating a comprehensive suite of tools for shipowners, managers, and operators.
VesselMan's cloud-based software will complement ShipServ's suite of solutions by offering advanced vessel management tools, ranging from dry-dock planning and maintenance to project workflows and analytics. The integration enhances operational efficiencies for clients throughout the vessel lifecycle, bringing together voyage cost, OPEX cost and dry-dock cost management in a unified platform.
The acquisition unites two complementary product portfolios, expanding the combined company's reach into new segments and markets. Customers will benefit from end-to-end solutions within a single digital environment, covering sourcing, purchasing, vessel operations and maintenance.
"The maritime industry is rapidly evolving, and this acquisition accelerates our vision of delivering truly integrated digital solutions,” Henrik Hyldahn, CEO of Marcura Group, added. “By bringing together VesselMan's fleet management expertise with ShipServ's global procurement platform, we're creating a powerful combination that will transform how shipping companies manage their operations. This marks a significant milestone in our strategy to build the industry's most comprehensive maritime operations platform."
As part of the acquisition, VesselMan's team will join ShipServ and continue to work on product development, ensuring a smooth transition for existing customers. The combined organisation will focus on seamlessly integrating VesselMan's capabilities into ShipServ's procurement platform, whilst maintaining VesselMan's service and support commitments.
"This acquisition represents a significant step forward in maritime digitisation," said Mikkel Hippe, CEO of ShipServ. “By combining our capabilities, we will accelerate the industry’s path toward digitisation and provide customers a unified platform to efficiently manage everything from sourcing and buying to vessel maintenance and compliance.”
“We share ShipServ’s passion for customer-centric innovation,” noted [Frank G. Olsen, CEO of VesselMan or Stig Linna, Founder & COO of VesselMan]. “Our mission has always been to help shipping companies harness digital tools to operate more efficiently and sustainably. Joining forces with ShipServ allows us to bring that vision to a broader global audience.”
